Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival

This incredibly popular gourmet food festival offers many live, outdoor events, including musical guests. The 2013 festival features top chefs such as Scott Conant and Giada de Laurentiis. The entertainment guests include D:Fuse and Gavin DeGraw. Of course a California food festival will always feature great California wines, but this festival also has a team of over sommeliers on hand to help you pair gourmet food with amazing wine. South Beach Food and Wine

The South Beach Food and Wine festival is sponsored by The Food Network and is covered by many food blogs and travel blogs. This festival takes place in Miami, a city with a long history of amazing gourmet food and a mix of cooking traditions. This festival has many beach and outdoor events, and kicks off with the Florida Extravaganza, which showcases local chefs and pairs their creations with the best wines from around the world. Taste of Vail

If you want to combine skiing and gourmet food, then Colorado’s Taste of Vail gourmet food festival is for you. This event is held in early April, at the end of ski season. The festival features and epic Nordic wine tour that will let you sample the best wines while snow-shoeing or cross-country skiing between stations. Another popular signature event is the Lamb Cook Off, which is held on the streets of Vail. Participating wineries showcase their best wines to pare with the gourmet food on offer, and of course, the lamb.
